Deye OG03 Single-Phase Off-Grid Inverter

The Deye SUN-(3-6.6)K-OG03LP1 is Deye's latest single-phase off-grid inverter. One compact wall-mounted unit holds a pure sine wave inverter, an MPPT solar charge controller and a battery charger. The range includes 3, 3.6, 4, 5, 6 and 6.6 kW models on a 48 V battery bus, plus a 3 kW 24 V version for small systems. The 3 to 4 kW models have one MPPT tracker. The 5 to 6.6 kW models have two.

On the solar side it accepts up to 500 V DC and tracks across a wide 150-425 V MPPT window. You can connect up to twice the rated power in PV panels (13.2 kWp on the 6.6 kW model), which raises output on short winter days and in cloudy hours. It works with lithium batteries, talking to their BMS over CAN or RS485, and with lead-acid banks. Charge and discharge current reaches 140 A.

It is built for unstable grids. It takes two AC sources, the national grid and a generator. When the power cuts out it switches to battery in about 4 ms, so computers, routers and satellite receivers keep running. It can deliver 200% of its rated power for 10 seconds to start fridges, air conditioners and water pumps. The IP65 enclosure weighs only 8.6 kg and runs below 46 dB. Up to 16 units can work in parallel for larger single-phase or three-phase systems, and the unit can be monitored remotely over Wi-Fi.
