Overview

The LONGi Hi-MO X10 is LONGi's flagship back-contact (BC) solar module for rooftop and commercial systems. It is built on HPBC 2.0 (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) cells grown on LONGi's n-type TaiRay wafers. All electrical contacts sit on the rear of the cell, so the front has no busbars or gridlines and more of the sunlight reaching the glass becomes electricity. The large-format LR7-72HVH (Hi-MO X10 Scientist) reaches up to 670 W and 24.8% module efficiency in the standard 2382 × 1134 mm size.

The panel is designed for hot, sunny and dusty climates like Iraq's. Its power temperature coefficient is −0.26%/°C, so it loses less output than conventional panels in 50 °C summer heat. LONGi's built-in shading optimisation sends current around shaded cells. LONGi says this cuts shading losses by more than 70% compared with TOPCon and lowers hotspot temperatures by about 28%. That helps on Iraqi rooftops, where water tanks, satellite dishes, parapets and dust often cast partial shade.

The LR7-72HVH is rated for 1500 V string designs and works with both hybrid and on-grid inverters. It carries a 5400 Pa front load rating, an IP68 junction box with three bypass diodes, and an anodised aluminium frame with 3.2 mm tempered glass. LONGi backs it with a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty. First-year degradation is under 1%, then 0.35% per year, and at least 88.85% of rated power is guaranteed in year 30.

For smaller residential roofs, the Hi-MO X10 family also includes the 54-cell LR7-54HVH (Explorer). It is rated at about 475–500 W, measures 1800 × 1134 × 30 mm and weighs about 21.6 kg.
